But with mainstream preparedness resources, most of the information given is not for people like us (fat-burners, carnivores, diabetics who treat with diet vs meds).

Sure, we could survive on rice & beans, but most of us would prefer to remain in optimal health, ESPECIALLY in SHTF/emergency situations when things are ALREADY stressful. Resorting to carbs would typically make us really sick even for a short duration.
